The New Normal - it's a phrase that has been well used over the past weeks and months. And even as restrictions ease, it's obvious that the Covid-19 pandemic means we are unlikely to return to 'normal' for many months.

At it'seeze Web Design Horsham a lot of our work has always been carried out online. So we are very fortunate that the majority of what we do can continue without any changes. Our creative design experts, web development wizards, and technical support team are currently working from home, but technology has always meant that we communicate effectively with each other remotely, so nothing has changed in that respect.

However there are some changes we have made, and we wanted to update our clients and business partners as to how we currently operate, and how we are likely to do so for the foreseeable future.

Discovery meetings

A Discovery meeting is often the first meeting we have with a client. We sit down with them to find out more about their business, their products and services, their target audience, branding, website goals and everything else we need to know in order to understand what they need and want from a new website.

This would be a face-to-face meeting at a time and location of the client's choosing. However this was obviously no longer an option when the Covid-19 lockdown was enforced. So we moved all meetings to the Zoom platform.

Our clients' feedback from holding virtual meetings is completely positive, and we have found them every bit as effective as in-person meetings. The screen share facility means that we can show each other website and design examples, so there really isn't a downside to holding meetings in this way.

Although in-person meetings are once again possible, the majority of our meetings are still virtual. We are very happy to meet in person, providing we can do so safely and in accordance with government guidelines. However, we are equally happy to meet via Zoom - it is purely down to the choice of each client.

Training you on the it'seeze website editor

Once a new website is created for a client, we meet up to train them up on the it'seeze website editor. The editor is very easy to use - if you can use a Word document you can edit an it'seeze website - but we make sure we go through it with our clients so they are confident in making the content changes they want to make. We also give them a tour of our 24/7 support website.

As with discovery meetings, lockdown meant that these meetings could no longer be held in person. So the support team at the it'seeze national support hub created a comprehensive online website editing training course, which takes clients through the basics of the editing system.

The feedback on this course has been extremely positive. So much so, that we will continue to use it, even when in-person meetings are once again the norm. It means that our clients can learn how to use the editing system at their pace, and at whatever day and time works for them. And once they are comfortable with the editor, we can meet either virtually or in-person, to go through more in-depth editing features, and cover any specific areas they want to know more about.

As is often the case when changes are forced upon us, we have found different ways to offer the same high quality service. And it now means that our clients have the choice to meet in-person or virtually. And we think that's a good thing, because the more options we can offer our clients the better it is for them.
If you feel your business would benefit from a new website and you don't know where to start, why not get in touch with the team at it'seeze Web Design Horsham today.

We offer affordable web design services that are ideal for local businesses, and we provide ongoing website support for all our clients too. If you're looking for a reliable Sussex web design company, we'd love to hear from you.
