The Client

Set within 100 acres of private woodland, meadows, lakes and streams, Gaveston Hall is located in the pretty village of Nuthurst. Despite its rural location, it is just one hour from London, with Brighton and the South Coast a 40 minute drive away.

Gaveston Hall provides great value hostel accommodation all year round for up to 100 guests. Bookings come from groups of all sizes, with parties of friends and families holding weddings and other celebrations there. Schools, faith groups, and a variety of organisations hire Gaveston Hall for events and get-togethers.

The Problem

Gaveston Hall didn't have a website, and they were looking for a site that would answer a lot of the questions and enquiries that were needing to be answered by phone and email. As well as being time-consuming for the Gaveston Hall team, it meant that existing and potential clients were having to wait for the information they needed.

The site needed to contain photos of the accommodation - both inside and outside - and have details of the facilities available, and the prices for different sized groups. Website users also needed to be able to download a floor plan of the dormitories and chalets, so that groups could plan who would be sleeping where ahead of their arrival.

The Solution

Rita Barclay, Director of Studentours (London) Limited - the owners of Gaveston Hall, asked members of her team if anyone knew a local company that could create a new website for them. She received a recommendation for it'seeze Web Design Horsham, and made contact with John Wright.

John and Rita met to discuss the requirements for Gaveston Hall's new website, and worked together to gather the photos, written content, and other files such as the floor plan, and a map of the grounds.

John then worked with the it'seeze design team to create an it'seeze Max website that met Rita's specific requirements.

A Max website enables up to 5,000 images to be displayed, so the site can show an almost unlimited number of photos of the accommodation and facilities that Gaveston Hall offers. With file downloads also a feature of the it'seeze Max package, website users are able to download a floor plan of the dormitories and chalets, meaning they can print it off and plan their group's sleeping arrangements ahead of their stay at Gaveston Hall. And because all it'seeze websites are fully responsive, the site looks great on any size screen that it is viewed on.

The Result

Gaveston Hall now has its own website that allows clients and potential clients to gain the information they need to plan their stay at Gaveston Hall, without having to make a call or send an email. It means they can get that information immediately, making it much more convenient for them. As a result, Rita and her team are spending much less time explaining the accommodation layout and emailing documents to their clients.

When the site first went live, Rita received some enquiries for information that hadn't initially been included on the site. Because it'seeze websites are so easy to edit, Rita was able to quickly add the information to her site. And when she received feedback that people would like pricing information to be more detailed and more prominent, the ease of adding new pages to an it'seeze Max website meant that a dedicated pricing page was added, allowing website users to easily find this information.

Rita is delighted with Gaveston Hall's website, and how easy it is for people to immediately get information that previously required input from her team.

We really enjoyed working with Rita to create Gaveston Hall's website and look forward to hearing about their continued success.
