‘’I am delighted with my new website and with the care and trouble you have taken to ensure that it has been designed in line with my specific requirements. You've made an otherwise daunting task a whole lot less hassle than I had imagined it would be.’’ - Pearl Flack, Boudoir Privé
Owned by Pearl Flack, who has over 10 years' experience in hand-making items with a vintage style, Boudoir Privé has been a full-time business since 2012.
Boudoir Privé offers Bridal & Evening Jewellery, Vintage Bags, Vintage Opera Gloves, Powder Compacts, Perfume Bottles and Vintage Clothing. As well as high quality vintage and antique items, they also offer handmade re-purposed vintage and bespoke custom jewellery.
Pearl's expertise and experience allows her to source up-cycled vintage components, such as simulated pearls, rhinestones, and Swarovski crystals, with an eye for how to utilise them to produce unique and beautiful handmade items that her clients love and appreciate.
Boudoir Privé were selling their beautiful retro products through an ecommerce website that focuses on handmade and vintage items.
However, changes to the website's algorithm meant that Boudoir Privé's items were increasingly hard for new customers to find. The changes affected Boudoir Privé's sales, and Pearl was also concerned about how future changes would restrict her business growth.
Pearl knew that she needed her own ecommerce website so that she had control over the content and layout. She also needed to be able to quickly and easily update the site as new items became available.
In 2017, Pearl was recommended to John Wright from it'seeze Web Design Horsham. Pearl and John met to discuss the design requirements for Boudoir Privé's new website.
Pearl wanted a website that had a colour scheme in keeping with the black and gold in Boudoir Privé's logo. The site needed to look artistic and classy with an Art Deco feel to it. The site also needed to be quick and easy to update, so that new items can be added as soon as they become available.
Working closely with Pearl, we created a brand new it'seeze Commerce website, which launched in November 2017. The site oozes class with text in a luxurious gold, in a type style of the Art Deco era, set against a black background. Stylish borders complete the Art Deco feel. It’s a fully responsive website, which means that it looks great on any size screen that it is viewed on.
Visitors to the home page immediately see the categories of products available. Within just one click, they can see the full range of items within that category, and one more click allows the client to see an item in full detail, along with the option to buy it.
Boudoir Privé now have their own website, in their own style, which they have complete control over.
An extensive range of products are available to purchase directly from the website. Pearl updates the site regularly, and with new items being added on a weekly basis it provides existing customers with a reason to visit the site regularly.
