Navigating the COVID-19 crisis

What’s happening in the world right now is completely unprecedented, and it’s hard to know exactly what might change from one day to the next. We understand that this makes running a business even more of a challenge – but we want you to know that, as always, we’re here to work with and support you in the many ways that we can.
We don’t profess to know what’s going to happen in the long run, but we do know that there are plenty of things we can all be doing right now and in the weeks that follow to keep things going, stay informed, and maintain some sense of ‘business as usual’ in otherwise exceptional times.
This brief guide outlines what we’re doing at it’seeze, as well as practical resources that will help your business to face the unique challenges in the days and weeks ahead.

Our response to COVID-19

Our top priority is ensuring the wellbeing of our team members and our clients, and making sure that we’re able to deliver the same high standards of service despite these challenging circumstances. For this reason, we made the decision to close our head office at the beginning of March in order to keep our staff and their families safe and our services running as normal. This means that all of the team at our national support hub are now working remotely – designing websites, developing new features, and supporting you with your queries.

In regards to the services we provide, nothing’s really changed – the only difference is the way in which we stay in touch. Now, instead of our local consultants meeting face-to-face with clients, we’re holding meetings online through Zoom, Skype, and Google Hangouts, etc. This ensures we’re able to provide the same level of one-to-one interaction, whilst helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Although we’re trying to keep things as ‘normal’ as they can be, we know that many of our clients are having to adapt to a brand new way of working in order to sustain their businesses. For this reason, we’ve launched several new developments and initiatives to help our clients make the most out of their online presence at this time – including brand new website features and functionality. We understand that there is still more to be done, and we look forward to announcing new measures to support it’seeze clients in the coming weeks.

Official information and support

There may be uncertain times ahead for all of us, but the good news is that there are new measures being put in place every day to protect SMEs and local businesses. There’s also a wealth of information out there that can help you figure out exactly what you need to do and how to do it, no matter what kind of business you own. The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) have put together a helpful guide on reducing the risks to you and your business from the COVID-19 virus. This includes the latest news on the government’s plans to help businesses that are affected, a list of useful resources and action plans, guidance for employers, and timely advice on how business owners can look after their mental health and wellbeing.
The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and Public Health England have outlined all the latest measures to support public services, people, and businesses during this time, with guidance that is regularly updated. This breaks down exactly what support is available for businesses right now and in the coming weeks and months.
It’s also worth staying up-to-date with all the latest health guidance from both the NHS and the World Health Organisation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
